i need to buy a laptop and netbook should i wait?
I I want to get windows 7. When I download the windows 7 on new computer where does vista go? I don’t want it to take up space, especially on the little netbook or my NEW laptop when I get it. What do you suggest?
Windows 7 isn’t yet available on new laptops and netbooks, so if you want a computer that comes with Windows 7, you have to wait.
But right now you could buy a computer that has Windows Vista on it, and which includes a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it’s available – lots of companies are offering this now. If you don’t do that, at least get a computer with Windows Vista so that you can upgrade it yourself later, by buying a Windows 7 upgrade.
(Don’t get a computer with Windows XP, because you can’t upgrade XP to Windows 7 easily, you basically have to reinstall everything. You need Vista if you want to do an easy upgrade that saves all your files and programs).
As far as where does Windows 7 go, it replaces your old version of Windows – so it does not take up extra space.
