The Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is still holding onto its grip to the #1 position since October 2010. The Lenovo ThinkPad T410 now holds the #2 spot; a bump up from its previous #3 position. The previous #2 position holder, the Asus N53Jf, did not make it onto this month’s top 10 list.”
Lenovo ThinkPad X201 (Still #1) – The Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is a 12.1-inch screen ultraportable laptop that offers the latest Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. The X201 has an amazing 6 hour battery life, integrated touchpad and pointing stick, full sized keyboard and the typical excellent ThinkPad build quality users have come to expect.
Lenovo ThinkPad T410 (Previously #3) – The ThinkPad T410 is a 14-inch screen portable laptop targeted at business users. The new Lenovo ThinkPad T410 model features a sleek, industrial design, clean lines, a symmetrical display and wider hinges. Plus, a next-generation keyboard and touchpad that not only has a more modern look, but is also easier to use. The ThinkPad T410 comes equipped with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor and optional NVIDIA switchable NVS3100M 512MB graphics.
HP Probook 4520s (Previously #4) – The HP ProBook 4520s is a small and medium business notebook that replaces the older 4510s from last year. The new model bumps the configuration from the older Intel Core 2 Duo family of processors to the newer Intel Core line, including the Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. The 4520s features a more durable metal exterior cladding, improved performance, and a very nice keyboard.
Dell XPS 15 (Previously #5) – The Dell XPS 15 with Windows Ultimate, Professional or Home Premium comes with the choice of four different-powered Intel Core i7 or i5 processors, ranging from 840QM to 460M. Also choose from 4, 6 or 8GB shared dual-channel DDR3 memory. The highest-powered battery is 9-cell, offering 9 hours and 9 minutes of battery life.
Asus G73JH (Previously #7) – This 17.3-inch monster has a Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and the most powerful mobile video card available, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870.
Dell Inspiron 15R (Previously #8) – The Dell Inspiron 15R notebook includes a 6-cell battery for a maximum of 4 hours of power, or an optional 9-cell battery, with a maximum of hours and 58 minutes of power. Hard drive can include up to 640GB of storage. This kind of tech gadgets comes with a standard integrated graphics card or an optional ATi Radeon graphics card. Color choices include black, blue, pink or red.
Asus U41JF-A1- The ASUS U41JF-A1 is a well-equipped multimedia notebook with a 14-inch screen. The thin-and-light design houses an Intel Core i3 dual-core processor (2.53GHz) and generous gaming capability thanks to Nvidia GeForce GT 425M dedicated graphics with 1GB DDR3 graphics memory. Add to that 4GB of system memory and a 500GB hard drive and you’ve got plenty of power for a family laptop. Build quality is less than impressive, but you might be willing to live with these electronic gadgets since the U41JF delivers more than 7 hours of battery life.
Sony VAIO EC (New to the top 10) – The 17.3-inch Sony VAIO EC multimedia and light-gaming laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional (64-bit) comes with up to 8 GB of DDR3 SDRAM and provides up to 3 hours of battery life in power-saving mode. There is up to 1TB of hard drive storage available at 5400rpm. Processor is an Intel Core i3-370M, and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card is available.
Alienware m11x (Previously #10) – The Alienware m11x notebook is an 11.6-inch portable gaming notebook with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and Nvidia dedicated graphics. The Alienware m11x is the most portable gaming gadgets for men on the planet, or universe for that matter!
Lenovo G550 (New to the top 10) – The Lenovo G550 is an update to the Value Line G530 with the primary difference being the shift from a 16:10 to a 16:9 screen. Configurations include either Intel Pentium or Core 2 Duo processor and up to 4GB DDR3 installed memory.
